Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority to hold Information Workshop for the Airport’s Master Plan

November 2, 2009

The Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority is in the process of completing an Airport Master Plan Update for Memphis International Airport. The Master Plan is intended to provide guidance for the continued, long-term improvement of the Airport, as well as account for numerous changes that have taken place at the Airport and in the industry since completion of the last Master Plan in 2000.

The Airport Authority is holding an Information Workshop for the general public to find out more about the Airport's Master Plan on Thursday, November 12, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. The Workshop will provide opportunities to learn about the Master Plan goals and objectives, study process, key findings, alternatives considered, and the Recommended Development Plan.

The Information Workshop will be held in an open house, drop-in format at the Memphis Marriott East, 2625 Thousand Oaks Blvd.

Staff from the Airport Authority and the planning consultant team will be present and available at the Workshop to answer any questions and about the Master Plan. The public is encouraged to ask questions and offer input.
