200 baggage carts provided free to the public at Memphis International have received a makeover using art from past exhibitions held at the Airport featuring local area high school students.
“Memphis International is one of only a few airports that provide baggage carts for free,” said Richard White, vice president of properties and business development for the airport. “We wanted to improve the look of the carts and thought the students’ art was a great way to do just that. It’s very colorful, attractive and presents some distinct things that make Memphis memorable.”
The original works of art from Memphis, Its Music, Sights & Sounds, the airport’s annual art exhibition are displayed in the terminal’s passenger walkways.
The free carts are available in Baggage Claim and in the Ground Transportation Center near the elevators.
