Ultra low-cost airline, Frontier will expand its service from Memphis International in September with four flights a week to Washington Dulles Airport. The service will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday using 168-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.
After a long absence, the carrier returned to the Memphis market in March with service to Denver four times a week. Due to strong initial bookings, Frontier soon announced an upgrade to daily service that begins this month.
“This is a key development in our efforts to expand our frequent and affordable air service at MEM,” said Scott Brockman, President and CEO of the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority. “Washington, DC, is one of our most popular destinations, and these flights provide our passengers with a new low-cost option.”
