New Concessions and Restaurants Make Memphis International Airport Great Place to Land

On December 15, Memphis International Airport unveiled its new restaurants and concessions. The renovations to the airport's concessions cost approximately $25 million and took two years to complete. Four primary operators have long-term contracts to operate restaurants or concessions at Memphis International Airport: The Paradies Shops, Anton Airfood, DNC - Travel Hospitality Services and The Hudson Group.

The new concessions were designed to be Memphis-centric and feature local favorites such as Interstate BBQ, Back Yard Burgers, Lenny's, Corky's, Grisanti's Bol a Pasta, Folk's Folly, Huey's, Sun Studio, The Memphis Zoo, the Memphis Rock & Soul Museum and Elvis Presley Enterprises. In addition to the well known Memphis names, the airport now boasts new major brands and Memphis-themed restaurants such as Varsity Grill, Blue Note Café, Einstein Bagels, Starbucks, Arby's, CNBC News and Hudson News. more »

New Conveniences Make Airport More Accessible

Airport visitors do not have to play hide and seek to find the airport elevators any more. Recognizing that the previous elevators were difficult to find and not easily accessible for travelers, the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority has added two new elevators at the center front entrance of Terminal B. The elevators will provide easy access for passenger use between the lower parking garage level, baggage claim and ticket lobby. In addition to the elevators, the moving walkways beyond security in Terminals A and C have been replaced and will make moving around the airport easy and convenient.
