AirTran Has Moved to Terminal A

AirTran Airways has relocated its operations at Memphis International from Terminal C to Terminal A, making the airline easier for passengers to locate. The move provides passengers with a more efficient check-in and a dedicated security checkpoint.

“We are always looking for ways to better serve our customers,” said Tad Hutcheson, vice president of marketing and sales for AirTran Airways. “When this space was vacated by Delta Airlines, we jumped at the chance to take it over. Having a larger ticket counter area and dedicated security checkpoint will make travel much easier for our passengers.”

Along with the move, AirTran has also announced Wi-Fi will be available for passenger use on all of its aircraft.

AirTran currently has five daily flights from Memphis to Atlanta.

The flights will be served using a nine-passenger Pilatus PC-12 turbo-prop aircraft that will give passengers a private-jet feel. This smaller aircraft is the perfect fit for the size of the four Arkansas communities. Passengers will board and disembark the aircraft through Signature Flight Support’s fixed base facilities at 2988 Winchester Rd instead of the airport’s terminal building… more »
